International Women's Day, celebrated on March 8, is a date of great historical and social significance. It arose in the context of women's struggles for better working conditions, equal rights and women's suffrage. The date dates back to the beginning of the 20th century, when factory workers in the United States and Europe demanded shorter working hours, fair wages and the right to vote.

At TaskIT, a company specializing in and consulting on Smartsheetwe embrace not only the history of International Women's Day, but also the ideals of empowerment, collaboration and equality that it represents. In our work environment, collaboration is the cornerstone of our operations. We recognize the fundamental role of women in all aspects of the company and actively promote their participation in positions of leadership and influence. We believe that female empowerment is not only a matter of social justice, but also an essential driver of business success.

On this International Women's Day, we are proud to highlight the achievements of our wonderful Taskiters. Their testimonials about day-to-day life with Smartsheet reflect not only their professional competence, but also their commitment to excellence and their leadership skills. They are inspiring examples of how the combination of talent, opportunity and technology can create a truly inclusive and successful working environment.

As Head of TaskIT, it is essential that I am highly organized to ensure visibility of my team's allocation, the progress of projects and the predictability of possible unforeseen events, allowing me to act proactively rather than reactively.

To do this, I use various tools that allow me to manage activities efficiently:

  • Spreadsheet with Gantt display: I use it to analyze capacity, monitor team allocation and plan schedules both macro and micro in projects.
  • Spreadsheet in card view: Ideal for organizing sprints and conducting scrums with the team, facilitating agile project management.
  • Dashboards: They are essential for extracting performance metrics, highlighting important dates and presenting relevant information at board meetings. Dashboards provide quality visual management, providing valuable insights for decision-making.

Smartsheet allows me to save time by automating and organizing tasks.

As Head of Culture and People at TaskIT, our main mission is to have increasingly transparent people processes, strengthening trust and building consistent and sustainable HR products to generate value and high performance. With this in mind, Smartsheet has been fundamental to our digital HR, streamlining our processes and giving visibility and consistency to our employees and leaders, thus generating efficiency and results.

Developing technical and commercial proposals is part of an account executive's daily routine. So I use Smartsheet spreadsheets to organize the project schedules, in the pre-sales phase, of the proposals I'm working on. With the Gantt view and the organization of dependencies, it's much easier to show clients each phase of the projects they're going to buy.

As Taskit's Financial Coordinator, I need a lot of organization, agility in the transit of information and a Dashboard for making decisions in the short term. To this end, today we use Smartsheet forms to support our accounts receivable and accounts payable process; through the form, we receive payment notes and/or reimbursement of expenses from our employees. This makes it possible to input information quickly, as well as the possibility of e-mail reminders and a dashboard with an easier view.

As a financier, I believe that colleagues and peers in the profession are always looking for the same thing: organization and standardization.
Having Smarsheet as a tool puts me a thousand steps ahead, because it allows me to organize scenarios, bring processes to life, interact with stakeholders without deviations and also provides me with analytical reports in which I can measure whether expectations are being met.

In short, with Smartsheet you can not only design processes but also operate them efficiently! The bonus is the tool's similarity to Excel, which makes everything even more practical

At TaskIT, we celebrate not only International Women's Day, but also the vital contribution of women to our company and to the world in general. We will continue to promote a culture of equality, diversity and mutual respect, while empowering our employees to reach their full potential with Smartsheet, remembering that if you liked this post and would like to be part of the TaskIT Team, you can click here to apply for our 2024 Internship Program 🙂
