How the System Works
The process begins by filling out an initiative submission form. The form can be found in the “Initiative Submission Spreadsheet.” Once completed, a request to expand the initiative is submitted, in which the following information must be provided:
Template, Project Type (folder or workspace), and PM
Once this information has been entered, an approval request is submitted. Once the project has been approved, it is created through the TaskIT Solutions Center
The configured project management templates are located in the “Templates” folder within the “TaskIT – Projects” workspace. Whenever a new template is created, the template name is automatically entered into the “Template” column of the “Initiative Entry Spreadsheet.”
All information regarding project initiatives and created projects is uploaded to the “Portfolio Tracking Dashboard.” And all information regarding created projects can be found in the “Portfolio Summary” spreadsheet.
The workspace or project folder is automatically created by the TaskIT Solution Center, a TaskIT product that allows you to replicate Smartsheet structures with variable information based on user-defined parameters.
The system's automatic picklists save maintenance time and ensure that metrics are collected efficiently by preventing discrepancies between the information entered in task Kanbans and the information in project databases.
